自己紹介
I am a computer scientist and atmospheric scientist at the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) of Argentina, where I have worked since 2015. I began by developing and optimizing operational forecasting systems on HPC, turning methods designed by researchers into tools that run every day: numerical weather prediction, data assimilation, radar quality control, ocean and wave models, and volcanic ash simulation. This work led me to research on uncertainty quantification and machine learning. During my PhD at the University of Buenos Aires, I developed neural network methods that estimate forecast uncertainty and use it in data assimilation. Today I coordinate AI activities at SMN and work on probabilistic precipitation forecasting with neural networks.
