アイナ・コロメ ビラパナ Aina Colomer i Vilaplana

Hola! I am Aina (ｱｲﾅ), a biologist with a PhD in Bioinformatics, with a focus on Population Genomics and Evolutionary Biology. I am excited to have joined the Mathematical Genomics RIKEN ECL Research Unit, led by Dr. Leo Speidel, as a Postdoctoral Researcher. My work involves developing a method to infer and represent selection on coalescent trees. So far, I have been working with simulated data, and I will soon be applying the method to real human datasets, both modern and ancient sequences. Eventually, I hope to extend the approach to other species as well. Oh, and I’m originally from Barcelona!
