Message
In the long history of natural sciences, many theories have taken a role to generalize knowledges, and to formalize understandings on natural phenomena. Now, in modern life science, we see such dramatic movements of frontier of theoretical sciences. To the accumulation of knowledges in molecular, cell or developmental biology, inclusive and general understandings are being promoted by integrating new theoretical methods. Our group have made contributions to such movement by providing universal principles governing complex systems, which are applicable not only to biology but also to physical, chemical or social phenomena. In iTHEMS projects we will promote broad theoretical sciences based on the activities and movements of theoretical biology.
