Self-introduction
Hello! I'm Satsuki! I am a PhD student at Hokkaido University and a Junior Research Associate at iTHEMS.
My research mainly focuses on the evolutionary history and population relationships of wild animals. By analyzing modern DNA data, we can uncover how populations have changed and spread over time. Isn't that fascinating?
I am also involved in ancient DNA research, including laboratory work to extract DNA from archaeological and historical specimens.
During my undergraduate studies, I explored a wide range of subjects, including information science, electrical engineering, electromagnetism, and simulation engineering. I enjoy learning about different fields and would love to discuss all kinds of topics with everyone!
