Keiya Hirashima receives the High-Resolution Award at the 13th IRMAIL Science Grant

Keiya Hirashima (Special Postdoctoral Researcher, iTHEMS) received the High-Resolution Award at the FY2026 13th IRMAIL Science Grant organized by Strategic, Inc.

His selected research project is titled “High-resolution simulation of the Milky Way galaxy using AI surrogate models.” The project aims to combine AI with high-performance GPUs to simulate the Milky Way at a resolution capable of representing individual stars.
