Last year I showed a classification theorem for certain classes of module categories over the representation category of quantum SU(n). Although its proof is elementary, the classification itself has a natural interpretation based on the concept of quantization.

In this talk, I will explain this interpretation, after giving the necessary background on the following topics:

  1. Operator algebras as noncommutative spaces
  2. Quantum groups and their actions on operator algebras
  3. Poisson manifolds and their quantizations

I will also present a future application of the classification if time allows.
